EYE COLOR SURGERY WITH VISUMAX ZEISS FEMTOSECOND
Discover the gold standard keratopigmentation procedure for permanently changing your eye color, in total safety, without implants, and in less than one hour.
The keratopigmentation procedure uses a VisuMax Zeiss femtosecond laser to create an invisible micro-tunnel within the thickness of your cornea. A state-of-the-art VisuMax Zeiss femtosecond robotic technology, keratopigmentation safe, fast and 100% painless.
During the keratopigmentation procedure, the surgeon delicately inserts a certified biocompatible pigments (CE marking) into this tunnel. A keratopigmentation safe formula with biocompatible pigments, designed for perfect ocular tolerance of our biocompatible pigments.
In this keratopigmentation procedure, the biocompatible pigments mask your old color by simple surface superposition. The inside of the eye is never touched, thus completely preserving your vision with our ophthalmologist Paris expertise.

Keratopigmentation Procedure Protocol: A step-by-step journey
Step 1: Ophthalmologist Paris Eligibility Assessment & Simulation (Before)
Overview: The keratopigmentation safe procedure starts with safety. We perform corneal topography to measure the thickness of your cornea down to the micron.
Security: If the cornea is too thin ($< 500$ microns) or shows signs of keratoconus, the procedure is refused.
Projection: A realistic simulation allows you to test shades (Riviera Blue, Emerald Green, Honey…) on your own face to validate your emotional choice.
Step 2: The VisuMax Zeiss Femtosecond Laser Procedure (During)
Overview: The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under topical anesthesia by our ophthalmologist Paris (simple numbing eye drops and VisuMax Zeiss femtosecond precision).
Painless: You will feel a slight pressure, but no pain.
VisuMax Technology: The laser creates the tunnel in less than 15 seconds per eye.
Total Duration: 30 to 45 minutes for both eyes.
Precision: The ophthalmologist surgeon manually injects the pigment for a textured and natural result.
Keratopigmentation Procedure: Healing & Results (After)
Immediate Vision: You leave our ophthalmologist Paris clinic able to see (though vision may be blurry—”foggy” type—for 4 to 6 hours).
Social Recovery: Return to work is possible as early as Day+2.
Follow-up: Mandatory check-ups at Day+1 and Day+30 guarantee the absence of inflammation and the stability of the pigment.

Corneal FLAAK (keratopigmentation) performed by our ophthalmologist Paris with biocompatible pigments consists of two key steps

The Laser Step : It consists of creating a micro-tunnel using a femtosecond laser (VISUMAX) in the periphery of the cornea, while respecting the central pupillary zone to preserve vision.
The Pigment Step : The surgeon uses the created space to deposit the pigments evenly, like a painter with a brush, until the desired coloration is achieved.
A painless and fast keratopigmentation procedure
The intervention is performed under local anesthesia (eye drops) and lasts less than an hour.
The procedure does not require entering the eye and takes place on the “surface,” within the thickness of the cornea.
A keratopigmentation safe and highly secure procedure
Through the use of the VISUMAX femtosecond laser, the only laser to date that meets the specifications for this intervention.
The use of dyes manufactured in France that are well-tolerated and have undergone multiple certification procedures.
Keratopigmentation procedure touch-ups are possible
To date, it is already possible to reinforce or reduce the intensity of the color initially chosen. This is referred to as a touch-up.
Soon, it will be possible to regain one’s natural color; the operation will then be reversible.
